On Saturday, September 27, 2025, we hosted our Indoor African & Continental Games at the Fort Garry Community Centre. The event was a lively, fun-filled occasion that brought together seniors, families, and community members for an afternoon of culture, games, and fellowship.
The highlight of the day was the presence of our Special Guest, Renee Vincent, Programs Manager of Pembina Active Living 55+, who joined in the celebration and shared words of encouragement about active living and community engagement.
Participants enjoyed a variety of traditional African and continental games, fostering laughter, teamwork, and cross-cultural connection. The atmosphere was warm, inclusive, and filled with joy, reminding everyone of the importance of staying active and socially connected.
The event truly reflected the spirit of community—celebrating culture, promoting wellness, and strengthening friendships.
